Bystander intervention training
SERVICE DESCRIPTION :
Bystander intervention training for racist and aggressively toxic situations
Duration: 3.5-5 hrs, Participants: 12-30, Suitable for: Business, Organisations, Sports Groups, Schools (over the age of 14)
The Guardian Angel Workshops is an interactive and fun workshop where the Brazilian Forum Theatre method is used to tackle racist situations. It comes with an expert presentation. Participants don’t need to have any previous experience or knowledge. The only requirement is to participate with an open mind.
“Have you ever been in a situation where someone is being racist or aggressively toxic and you don’t know what to do? Someone makes a racist joke or comment? Do you want to help the victim of the racism but in the moment you just freeze? Do you sometimes feel powerless when it comes to racism and that you don’t know enough about it?”
Nordic Diversity Trainers offers one solution to all of this. The Guardian Angel Workshops provides people with the necessary tool set they need to handle racist and toxic situations. Participants will also come to understand about the roots of racism and how structural racism works in our society.
After completing the workshops participants have expressed to be feeling empowered, confident and more ready to face situations that involve racism and how to tackle these.

“Embrace Diversity” Seminar
SERVICE DESCRIPTION :
Anti-Bias & Diversity Training
Duration: 3.5-10 hrs, Participants: 5-500, Suitable for: Business, Organisations, individuals
Is it time to update yourself, your team or organisation on diversity and how to tackle bias and micro-aggressions?
Interactive training for organisations, teams and individuals to understand what diversity is, its positive impact and the challenges to successfully embracing diversity. Participants learn to recognise micro-aggressions, racism and bias, how they function and how to act against it, including own bias.
The course contains lectures, exercises and workshop activities and participants will learn how to engage in their nearer and wider environment, including an update on the terminology used in the field and an understanding of different stakeholder groups in diversity. We will provide feedback and resources needed also after the training.

Respect Workshops
SERVICE DESCRIPTION :
Anti-bullying workshop for children and youth
Duration: 45 min, Participants: 9-30, Suitable for: age 8-99, Schools, Organisations, Sports Clubs
Children don't have prejudice, right? Yet bullying is a major problem at our schools today. Our Respect Workshops aim at young people when they still are reachable.
We motivate them to respect and care for each other, specially for the ones who might be in a challenged situation. Our workshops have been long tested at schools all over Finland and are highly popular with the children and youth, as well as with the teachers.
The workshops are fun and they fit within one school hour and are thus easy to apply. We use role models, ball games and interactive approach, which makes the classes stand out.
The concept is compatible with other programs. The situation at the classes we have visited has crucially improved and the teaching atmosphere has been more productive after we visited. Due to our larger expertise we are also ready to develop follow up events and activities with you.

Duration: 3-4 Weekends or 1.5-2 weeks, Participants: 5-50, previous experience needed, Suitable for: Business, Organisations, Trainers, Managers

Our course prepares managers and trainers to lead and facilitate diversity efforts in business, organisations and society. The course is composed of lectures, workshop, exercises and field visits.
